Climbing Frenzy

In “CLIMBING FRENZY”, a tornado of tables furiously climb over each other. These tables, intent on their freedom, link their cherry-bowed legs into a ladder, eighteen feet of twisting and writhing acrobats. Arching towards the gallery’s skylight in a helix-like pattern, the Queen Anne tables hover over the viewer. The scene is dream-like yet familiar, unleashing an alternate experience of everyday objects, bringing together these familiar forms where the inner logic is that of the improbable appearing plausible; the merveilleax quotidien, an everyday miracle. The internal psychology of everyday objects inspires a permeability of the conscious barriers between people and things, objects and intentions.
